Shelley Durance – Clinical Manager
Shelley has worked in the health field for her whole career, it is in her blood and she can’t imagine working anywhere else. Shelley’s career has seen her work as a nurse, medical social worker, health educator, program manager in training others and in health administration. The one constant in a diverse career has been learning new skills and applying them in all sorts of work situations. She thrives on variety, engagement with others and has a particular interest in creating cohesive and happy teams.
Dr. Jonathan Mavroudis – Research
Dr Jonathan Mavroudis is a published author, guest lecturer and researcher based at Swinburne University. His research examines social media as sites of identity work. His thesis entitled ‘Am I too branded? Fame labour and micro celebrity culture’ introduced the term ‘fame labour’ which describes the work of managing dissonance between a branded self on social media and offline identities. Jonathan has fast become an esteemed sociologist in his field. He has conducted research studies in Australia, the United States and Europe working with prominent celebrities. Jonathan also teaches in the sociology program at Swinburne with a particular focus on the critical and methodological frameworks for researching online identities, relationships and sexuality.
Dr Rob Weiss
Robert is a medical graduate of University of Melbourne (1981) and works at Frankston Healthcare, a medical centre in Frankston, Victoria. He is a member of both RACGP Victorian Addiction Medicine Committee and National Faculty of Special Interest in Addiction Medicine, and is also a member of Expert Advisory Groups on Pharmacotherapy Reform.
Dr Chau Nguyen
Dr Nguyen was born and raised in Melbourne and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2009 (WA). She also completed a Post Graduate diploma in Surgical anatomy (Melbourne University) and is a Fellow in Radiology. Dr Nguyen is results driven and continues to learn new innovative procedures, techniques and introduces products that are TGA registered in Australia in order to ensure that the latest and advanced techniques are available at her clinic. Given her expertise she has no hesitation in offering her time and support to CPD and CPD members. She works closely with CPD to ensure that the curriculum is at a high standard and that people who complete the courses have the skills to succeed.
She is one of the first in Australia to perform Factor4 (next generation PRP) facelift by stimulating collagen using both cannula and direct injection techniques. Given her background she can also perform joint injections using Factor4 (PRP) to stimulate a healing reaction and reduce inflammation.

Nurse Practitioner, Trainer, business owner and practitioner, Ashleigh studied cosmetic aesthetic injectables with CPD in 2013 and has gone on to establish her own successful Geelong cosmetic clinic, “Tox Bar” offering a range of cosmetic injectables and non-surgical procedures and beauty treatments. Ashleigh is a highly passionate and talented injector and business owner, approaching each client as an individual, mapping out treatment plans based on the client’s needs and expectations.
Marissa is a Registered Nurse Div.1, who studied at La Trobe University in Bundroora. Over 5 years, Marissa has gained a wide variety of experience in the acute care setting prior to deciding to explore cosmetic injecting.
Through CPD Institute, Marissa has found her passion in the Cosmetic industry. Her caring and enthusiastic approach enables her to design holistic treatment plans with clients, allowing her to achieve the best possible outcome.
Marissa views Cosmetic Injectables as an art form and thoroughly enjoys filler treatments such as lips, cheek fillers and a ‘liquid facelift’ to improve heaviness in the lower face.
Anita has been a registered nurse since 2000. She has always had a special interest in Women’s health, beginning her career at Melbourne’s Royal Women’s Hospital, and later going on to study Sexual Health Nursing and Pap test provision. In addition, Anita has worked in Emergency Nursing, Practice Nursing and Community Nursing. Anita has lent her knowledge and experience to organisations such as the Bush Fire Recovery Fund and multiple regional health planning groups. In 2013 Anita devised a new model of care for the delivery of laser services, and opened two clinics structured around this model. Under Anita’s direction, Gippsland Cosmetic Laser Clinic has won numerous awards and accolades, including three regional business awards, and named finalists in the 2016 Telstra Australian Business Awards, and the 2016 My Face My Body Awards for Best Aesthetic Practice in Victoria.
Seeking to undertake the highest level of training in cosmetic injectables, Anita undertook the CPD course in early 2015 and has since incorporated cosmetic injectables into the clinic’s model of care. Elise has spent her career utilising various treatments, machinery and chemistry to achieve all round skin wellness and is currently working within the realms of plastic surgery and dermatology. With her previous teachings Elise is passionate about knowledge and broadening the mind to think not only about the business aspect of your career but also entails how to achieve best results by combining multiple skin treatments together.
