CADAVER
You will spend the day with expert plastic surgeon, Dr Peter Callan and cosmetic aesthetic practitioners, learning a range of techniques to advance your injecting skills and in depth understanding of safe injecting and what an adverse event looks like from 'behind the scenes'.
We understand that injectable anatomy is different – needle/cannula depth is paramount to safe injecting hence the importance if understanding 'injector anatomy'.
Information will be given on 'how-to' inject in certain anatomical regions with a focus on high and low-risk regions of the face.
This session will only have a small group of participants, allowing a close and intimate learning journey and opportunity.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 'Anatomical Exploration for Cosmetic Injectors: Cadaver Workshop' in Melbourne 2023.
Please be advised you will need to provide evidence of your current AHPRA registration on the day of your workshop.

PDO Mono Threads Workshop
PDO
Studies have shown that the use of PDO threads helps stimulate production of new collagen in the skin, which enhances the skin’s elasticity and improves the appearance of folds and wrinkles.

The PDO mono Thread Lift can be combined with dermal fillers to address both saggy skin and volume loss brought by the aging process.

The aims and outcomes of the course upon completion are to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to:
- Develop analytical and critical appraisal skills in the theory of PDO thread treatments.

- Apply advanced problem-solving skills in clinical practice.
- Demonstrate skills in infection control and safe practices. Demonstrate evaluation skills in the delivery of care to patients.
- Managing complications and adverse events

Roberta Honigman
ROBERTA
In today's world people with BDD are more likely to be seen by cosmetic practitioners than by mental health professionals, as the majority of BDD sufferers believe that their condition is physically rather than psychologically manifested.
However, clinical evidence suggests that cosmetic procedures are rarely beneficial in ameliorating symptoms of BDD and indeed usually make things worse. Some patients become more fixated on the feature that had been treated or develop new appearance preoccupations following treatment. Unfortunately, despite increasing awareness of the impact of poor body image, BDD appears to go under-recognised and /or misdiagnosed.
Why is it important to identify Body Dysmorphia and manage that appropriately with your clients?
Learn Outcomes:
- How to identify behaviours of concern.
- What does mental health look like in aesthetic practice?
- Strategies to manage "alarm bells"
- Pathways to manage inappropriate client selection
- Clinician safeguarding strategies
